I love cartoons.
Since I was a kid, I have enjoyed the likes of Looney Tunes, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, G.I. Joe, Voltron, Disney cartoons, and a number of other cartoons that I could spend quite some time naming. I’ll spare you the complete list, though.
Working with window cleaners, I have come to respect their lives and their work. So I thought it would be interesting to put together a list of cartoons ABOUT window cleaners.
Here’s the list I came up with. I actually thought there would be more. I love to hear if you know of any others!
Donald Duck in “Window Cleaners”
Popeye the Sailor in “The Paneless Window Washer”
Looney Tunes in “Window Pains”
Simon’s Cat in “Window Pains”
And just because Wile E. Coyote has always been m favorite cartoon character, and I could not find him cleaning windows… here’s “Chariots of Fur”
I hope you enjoyed a quick step back from the serious and into the zany and animated.
2014 is gone. It was a good year for window cleaning, a good year for giving you information on the blog, and a good year for Detroit Sponge.
Rather than a completely new post, I thought this might be a good time to review the great stuff we covered in 2014. There’s a lot of information here!

I wish I could say that I am thankful everyday, but it seems I fall into the trap of losing sight of it most of the year, until Thanksgiving comes around. So I wanted to take a few minutes to mention a few things now.
I am exceptionally thankful for my family, particularly my mom, my boyfriend, and my dog, the three who are there to greet me every night when I get home and help me decompress from the day over dinner and throughout the evening.
I am thankful for my job, my boss, my coworkers, and our customers. I have a great job that I find myself easily able to get out of bed for every morning. I enjoy what I do – this blog, the social media postings, and dozens of other things, including helping customers – the best part. I have the best boss and great coworkers who make even bad days lighter and more bearable.
I am thankful for window cleaners, without whom I wouldn’t have this job. Window cleaners are a group all their own, there is no others like them. Starting this job was tough at first, mostly because the business is so specialized and so different from any other field I have worked in. But getting to know window cleaners and their craft has been one of the most enjoyable experiences of my working life.
I am thankful for our vendors, who always work with me to accomplish the goals that help all of us – getting window cleaners their tools of the trade. Our vendors are awesome. They create great products and stand behind them.
This is the short, short list of things I’m thankful for. What are you thankful for?
Happy Thanksgiving! Have a safe and enjoyable holiday. Eat and drink and be thankful.
