A Pure Water System can be a big investment for your business, but it can also take your business to the next level. Below, we have a few questions you should ask yourself when considering the right system for your situation.
1. How much do you plan on using it?
Some systems are more than adequate for using just when they are necessary, such as clients with just a spring cleaning job, while others are better for every day use. Here’s a breakdown.
Every once in a while or seasonally
In this use-case, a DI system is probably your best bet. While you will have to spend more money to replace the DI Resin, the upfront cost is significantly lower. Some great options include the Unger Hydro Power, the Tucker DI, and the Detroit Sponge DI.
At least weekly
The more usage you get out of the system, the more likely it is a multi-stage system could make sense for your business. A DI system is still worth considering if your water’s TDS is below 150. You can check this on Zero Water.
2. How high do you need to reach?
Another consideration is how high you will need to reach with your system. Assuming your water pressure at the source is good, you can expect to get up to 50 feet with just a DI system. This can even run with multiple poles.
A multi-stage system will get you 35 feet without a pump and over 60 feet with a pump, including enough juice for multiple poles.
3. What’s your budget?
Anyone who’s run a business knows the importance of sticking to a budget and considering costs vs. payoffs. This is no different. As mentioned above, DI systems will have lower costs than a multi-stage, but you will need to buy replacement resin bags with more frequency. It might be that a DI system will allow your business to service more accounts and get to be used with enough frequency to upgrade to a multi-stage down the line. If you already have something lined up you are confident in, leasing may also be an option.
